Full Statutory Licence for the Dominican University
It is with great joy that we bring you the news of the Full Statutory Licence for the Dominican University, Ibadan.
The National Universities Commission (NUC), in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the Dominican University, Ibadan, Rev. Professor Anthony A. Akinwale, OP has informed the University that it has been granted a full statutory licence.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the new status comes after the University was successful in a review of its provisional licence by an NUC visitation panel in 2019. The panel spent a week at the University inspecting its facilities and documents, as well as credentials of principal officials and staff of the university.
In Nigeria, a university is first issued a three-year provisional licence. A full statutory licence is accorded upon good performance of the university during its first three years of existence. This will be followed later in the year by another accreditation exercise on the programmes run by the University.
The management of the University is grateful to all those who support the University in one way or another.
May the Lord continue to bless the efforts of our brothers, the management and staff of the Dominican University.
Clement Uzoanya, OP
