With the joy of those who welcome new born babies into a family, the
brothers of the Province of St. Joseph the Worker, Nigeria and Ghana celebrate the
profession of simple vows of nine of her novices. On this feast day of St. Augustine, Brothers
Eric Aboagye, Richard Achii, Efeighenemoaro Ekakitie, Godwin Nkop, Paulmary Nwaozuzu,
Uchechukwu Odikpo, Wisdom Sampana, Stephen Umeadi and Felix Unuesiri professed to
be obedient to the Rules and Constitutions of our Order as laid down by our Father Dominic
and lived by every brother.
The Mass, celebrated in St. Thomas Aquinas Priory, Ibadan, was presided over by the Vicar
of the Province Rev. Fr. Martin Aitsebaomo in place of the Provincial Fr. Charles Ukwe.
These newly professed brothers will proceed to the studium to begin their studies in
philosophy by October at the Dominican Institute, Ibadan.
In addition to this, last night, 27th of August, eight young men became affiliated to the Order as novices. We pray that God will see them through this fundamental stage of their vocation discernment.
